Mohamed H. Taha
Biography

Dr. Mohamed H. Taha is a medical education leader, scholar and academic institution-builder whose 15+ years of progressive leadership span medical schools in Sudan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. As Director of the Medical Education Centre at the University of Sharjah, he designed and launched the GCC's first PhD in Health Professions Education, secured the region's first AoME (UK) accreditation for an HPE Master's programme, and built a strategic academic partnership with the University of Dundee. He is the author of four AMEE Guides and 50+ peer-reviewed publications, and led adaptive, cross-border continuity strategies for medical education during Sudan's armed conflict and the COVID-19 pandemic — work AMEE has cited as a global benchmark.

Educational philosophy

Medical education should be built the way good infrastructure is built: engineered to hold under pressure and to reach the people furthest from it. Social accountability is not a value to state — it is a design constraint to build against, in the curriculum, in the assessment, and in how an institution responds when the ground shifts beneath it.
